Having grown up in central Illinois farm country, I enjoy painting rural, mid-western landscapes including an ongoing series of Mail Pouch Tobacco barns.

I also love to paint mountain landscapes due to long standing family ties to and many vacations in Colorado.

This is one of an ongoing series of paintings of Mail Pouch tobacco barns. Over 20,000 barns were painted in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and California between 1890 and 1992 - one of the first, and probably longest running, outdoor advertising campaigns. Some of the barns are listed as National Historic Landmarks although most have fallen down or been torn down.

Original paintings have a double mat (acid-free, white outer and color inner) and acid-free backing.

Limited Edition Giclee prints are an edition of 100 printed on high quality watercolor paper, signed and numbered in pencil. Small prints are signed, open-edition Giclee prints also printed on watercolor paper.
